Barcelona Moon Team and the Hubert Curien Award. News, News (eng)

The Hubert Curien Award recognises outstanding efforts to help society benefit from space, of people who, in Eurisy Founding President Hubert Curien’s own words, “go beyond their own specialisation, […] aim to encompass the whole complexity of human, cultural, environmental systems in which society evolves”, in order to “provide decision-makers as well as citizens the indispensable elements for big society choices”. All individuals, teams or institutions with proven merits in bridging space and society, nominated by individual persons or organisations, are eligible for this award.

The Hubert Curien Award is organized by Eurisy, an European non-profit association of over 30 governmental space offices and space agencies, international organisations, research institutions, and private businesses involved or interested in space-related activities. Eurisy was created in 1989 under French law, on the initiative of its founder President, the late Hubert Curien.
