With our technical team almost completed we will be delighted in the next weeks to dedicate some of our posts to describe each of the companies involved and their field of contribution to the project.

As you may know, the Barcelona Moon Team is an initiaitive born in at Galactic Suite Moonrace, a filial company of the Galactic Suite Group. The Group creates opportunities around technology and people to promote a private access to Space. Founded in 2007 by Xavier Claramunt, the company creates and promotes cutting-edge concepts to foster alliances and help creating relationships among companies and research centres.

Galactic Suite Group is actively involved in the development of a change of paradigm in the space business, where public actors and traditional large contractors will share scenario with smaller private entrepreneurial initiatives.

The Galactic Suite Group includes:

GALACTICSUITE SPACERESORT designs and promotes the first space hotel, a mini space station orbiting in LEO dedicated to accommodate space tourists, and designed to maximize the customer experience, to rediscover his body in weightlessness inside the customized interiors optimizing the empty volume and providing the largest possible views to space, to enjoy 16 sunsets and sunshines a day due to the high speed of the module that completes an Earth orbit in 90 minutes

GALACTICSUITE DESIGN develops marketing, conceptualization and design in the aerospace industry. The company supports other companies to redesign their product strategies and promote them through models and computer generated imagery and videos. Recently the company has been granted by the Spanish Ministry of Science to develop new materials and architectures for aviation interiors in a consortium with a dozen leading Spanish aviation companies.

And of course, GALACTIC SUITE MOONRACE, a company leading the Barcelona Moon Team and responsible of its managing, the team gathering, and the construction of the rover itself (together with the Technical University in Barcelona). The company understands this as a demonstrative mission for the development of a long term industrial program to promote other exploration and exploitation missions to the Moon and other celestial bodies. Finally, together with the Foundation for the Exploration of the Space and the Moon, the company is also in charge of the social and educational programs toget the support of society and promote technology and science.
